
Sixth graders, Jackson Isbell, Charlie Partain, and Hunter Vaughn won the first place award for Intermediate Entry Squad in the Back Woods Quail Club Sporting Clay Shoot. We are proud of you, boys!
Last night, we hosted our second annual Literacy Night. Community members read books to our classrooms. Special thanks to Dr. Hall, Sheriff Ray Watson, Mary Elizabeth Land, Officer Will Poteat, Dr. Chris Oxendine, and Mrs. Joyce Cunningham for volunteering their time to help us promote literacy!
Our Superintendent, Dr. Hall performed a read-aloud last night to students. First grader, Sarah Ware, loved the book!

John C. Calhoun and Diamond Hill partnered up to participate in their annual Hot Shots Event. Thanks to Mr. Ramey, Coach Hall, Mr. Harbert, Mrs. Campbell, and Ms. Newton for helping with the event.
Recently, our fourth graders participated in a wax museum. Students and parents were allowed to view the wax characters. We even drank delicious tea from the Boston Tea Party! Above is Shirley Hoskins, dressed as Betsy Ross, the creator of the first American flag.
